The Scoville scale measures the heat of chilli peppers.
Why it is true
The Scoville scale, created by chemist Wilbur Scoville in 1912, measures the concentration of capsaicin in peppers. The jalapeno pepper has between 2,500 and 8,000 Scoville units, while the Carolina Reaper can exceed 2.2 million.
