This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit www.onaure.com. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
Who is responsible
The site is operated by Rita Raquel Carvalho Rodrigues de Oliveira, 3080-325 Figueira da Foz, Portugal. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights listed below, write to hello@onaure.com.
The short version
- You do not need an account. We never ask for your name, address or payment details, and there is nothing to register.
- Your quiz scores and language choice stay in your own browser and are never sent to us.
- The site shows advertising. Advertising involves third-party cookies, and those only run if you agree to them.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, non-essential cookies stay switched off until you accept them.
What we collect ourselves
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information for every request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is used to keep the site running and to detect abuse. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to build a profile of you.
Browser storage. The site stores a few values in your browser's local storage: your chosen language, your quiz progress and score, and your cookie choice. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
We do not operate newsletters, comment sections, user accounts or contact forms that store what you write.
Advertising and third parties
The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google's own handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you refuse advertising cookies, the site still works and still shows ads — but those ads are non-personalised, chosen from the page content rather than from your browsing history.
We may also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Analytics only loads after you accept measurement cookies. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not enable advertising features in Analytics.
Your choices
The cookie banner appears on your first visit. Whatever you choose, you can change it later: the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page reopens the banner and your new choice replaces the old one immediately.
Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies for this site entirely, through its own settings.
Legal bases (GDPR)
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising and measurement cookies. You may withdraw it at any time, with no effect on what happened before.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for server logs kept to operate the site securely.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, a restriction on its processing, portability, and to object to processing. Write to hello@onaure.com — we reply within 30 days. In practice, because we hold no account data, most requests concern server logs, and we will need the approximate date and IP address to find anything at all.
You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In Portugal, that is the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
International transfers
Google operates globally and may process data outside the EEA, under the transfer safeguards described in its own privacy policy. We do not transfer data ourselves.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to hello@onaure.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the cookie banner reappears so that you can review your choice.
