Pineapple contains an enzyme that digests the tongue of whoever eats it.
Why it is true
Pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme that breaks down proteins. When eating fresh pineapple, the enzyme attacks the proteins of the mouth and tongue lining, causing a burning or tingling sensation. The canning process destroys bromelain.
