The leatherback turtle keeps its body warmer than the water it swims in.
Why it is true
The leatherback turtle, the largest turtle in the world, has a layer of fat and a muscular system that generates heat. Thanks to this ability, called gigantothermy, it can swim in cold waters such as those of the North Atlantic without lowering its body temperature.
