Why it is true
The Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, launched in 1983, weighed about 790 grams and measured 25 centimetres without the antenna. It cost 3,995 dollars, which today would be equivalent to more than 10,000 euros. The battery lasted only 30 minutes of talk time and needed 10 hours to charge.
