Trees communicate and share nutrients through an underground fungal network.
Why it is true
This network, called mycorrhiza, connects the roots of different trees, allowing the exchange of water, carbon, and nutrients. Older trees, often called mother trees, use this network to feed young seedlings growing in the shade that do not receive enough sunlight.
