A submerged tropical island the size of Iceland was discovered in the Atlantic.
Why it is true
The island would have existed about 80 million years ago, driven by a mantle plume. The remains were found about 1,200 kilometres off the coast of Brazil, on the Rio Grande Rise, and may have been part of a lost continent.
