Interoception is described as the human body's hidden sixth sense.
Why it is true
Interoception is a network of internal neural pathways that allows the brain to coordinate breathing, monitor circulation, digestion and the immune system, and perceive sensations such as hunger, thirst, cold and heat. Scientists received 14.2 million dollars in funding to create the first atlas of this system.
