Why it is true
The Moon has no atmosphere, wind, or liquid water, which are the main agents of erosion on Earth. Without these elements to wear down the surface, the footprints and vehicle tracks left by the Apollo missions remain virtually untouched and should last for millions of years, unless hit by a meteorite.
