The Dead Sea is a lake, not a sea.
Why it is true
Despite its name, the Dead Sea is a saltwater lake with no connection to the ocean. It is located in the Jordan Valley, between Israel and Jordan. At about 430 metres below sea level, it is the lowest point on land. Its salinity is so high that people float effortlessly.
