The cornea of the human eye has no blood vessels, which is why it is transparent.
Why it is true
The cornea is the transparent layer at the front of the eye. To maintain transparency, it cannot have blood vessels, which would block the passage of light. Instead, it receives oxygen directly from the air and nutrients from tears and the aqueous humour. If the cornea lacks oxygen, it can become opaque.
